I'm a tutor and teacher who believes that every student should have the opportunity to enjoy a high-quality educational experience that is fulfilling and enjoyable. I help my students set big goals, and then guide them through their hurdles to learning so they reach, and often exceed, those goals. Students need support, in and out of the classroom, and a tutor can offer the support that they may not receive in the classroom.After earning my Psychology degree at Michigan State University, I moved to Mississippi, where I worked as an Algebra and Geometry teacher for Teach for America. I helped students master the complicated methods and techniques involved in determining the solution to complex math problems. I teach the various problem-solving techniques to my students, showing them why the various techniques work for the problem on which they focusing. Students receive a holistic explanation and understanding of the subject. As a tutor, I enjoy helping students prepare for the math section of the ACT test. While I'm specialized to teach Math, I also help students with Science, Psychology, and Social Sciences.When I'm not helping students, I enjoy taking online classes, going hiking and camping, playing and coaching sports, or relaxing with a good novel.
