David T.
Private tutor in Troy, MI
Education
I studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Virginia and minored in Aerospace Engineering. I scored a 3.88 GPA, meaning I graduated with highest distinction. My only two non-As came in History and Dynamics. I graduated in 2013 after four years of study. I graduated high school first in my class of 308 (valedictorian) in 2009 with a 4.2 GPA .
Experience
My SAT and ACT scores were ~2100 and ~31, if I recall correctly. I tutored in high school and college, and really enjoyed communicating complex ideas to others. I won't list which classes I took in college, but with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, you can probably guess. Lots of math and science. After college, I went to work at Chrysler as a powertrain cooling engineer for the next generation Jeep Wrangler. After two years, I'm now an automotive journalist.

Hobbies
I like being around people. I consider myself rather sociable, so if you're worried that I'm a hermit nerd who doesn't get out much, fear not. I enjoy writing about cars, fixing cars, talking about cars-- anything dealing with cars. I grew up in an Army family, so I've moved around a lot. I wrote an article about my upbringing. It should provide you with quite a bit of insight into me as a person: http://foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com/what-its-like-growing-up-as-a-military-brat-1722058525
